Kevin, you're pathetic.
Heh, Kevin Mitnick has issued a plea to hackers to give him "hacking stories". ... uhm, hi, that's beyond idiotic. You're arguable the most famous hacker/cracker ever, and you don't even have enough material to make more money for your next pathetic book? Don't people see that the great hackers are the ones that

HackerLife v2 up and running
Hi, just thought I should mention that I started a new blog at LiveJournal which tells more into my personal life. While of course I'll keep this blog up and update it as much as possible (probably more than three times a week) I will be keeping it more "techie", while my other blog is more "heart-to-heart". If you don't get it, just go there and check it out. I'm sure you'll understand. Note, though, that if you don't like the soap-opera of people's lives, you might not wanna go there.... although this one is the life of a hacker ;)

Fscked up or what?!
Shit, some people are just stupid. A school suspended a 15 year old boy for 10 days, for "hacking" into their computer systems. He says that he only used the password that they issued every student. The school says no way. I believe the kid. A 10 day suspension for pointing out to the school a security flaw? Fuck, it's like a mini Adrian Lamo. This is not acceptable. As soon as the school's name is released I'm gonna send a petition to undo the child's suspension and take it off his record. This is complete idiocy.
In other news, this might be me- an MSNBC news story on "hacking for dollars".... I think it portrays the white hat hacker quite nicely :)
Also, Blogger has been giving me problems... crashing my Mozilla Firebird (browser) when I sign in to update this blog. Gr... not a good thing to do when I've already been considering DeadJournal, and, although less so, LiveJournal. Oh well, I like Blogger... I'm sure that they'll fix whatever bug they have soon enough :)

Christmas day and nothing to hide!
... well, I wanted to say "Christmas day and .... something" so I said nothing to hide. I've been considering changing my handle from Code_Dark to DarkCode ... it's just so much cooler. That would also wipe the slate of some of the ... er... blackhat things that I've done in the past. DarkCode, you have to admit, is much cooler than Code_Dark. Meh. I also finally *own* an IRC channel ... that's #caffeine on afternet (irc.afternet.org). The official page is here. Anyway, I have the DarkCode nick running 24/7 through a freeBSD webshell I got. Good stuff. Anyway, a merry christmas to all, as well as a happy hannukah and jolly kwanza. Until the next entry...

Going skiing!
... with a broken rib and a hurt toe! Fun! I'm going north to Big Bear Mountain for two days/one night with my mom. I'll be skiing, and trying quite hard to not puncture my lunch in the process of skiing. :/ In other news... well, there is no other news. It's christmas break, I'm jus chillin.

I'm not dead!
... although I did OD on caffeine... heh. Anyway, I finished the tic tac toe game in full, and it is now 100% unbeatable! Yay. Anyway, for hannukah I'm going to write a dreidel game that you can download. Also, you can get the full Tic Tac Toe game http://dshaw.rr.nu/tic-tac-toe.zip. You can read about the AI controlling your new unbeatable friend here, at the Shallow Green AI page. Also, just to give you my excuse, I had finals, and fuck they were hard. Heh. Anyway, I'll be working alot more soon, as well as giving you a surefire way to chat with me... that should be fun.

Tic Tac Toe
Well, for those of you that.. er... liked the blackjack game I made, I've upgraded Shallow Green (the AI- an adaptation of Deep Blue) to play tic tac toe with a user. He's damn good at it, too... although it only has one strategy. I'll let you know when I'm done giving it more strategies for tic tac toe, but you can download the current version here -> http://dshaw.rr.nu/code/tic-tac-toe.zip. Thanks for beta testing...
